Following details should be submitted while intimating the loss to the surveyor:
i. Type of loss
ii. Date and place of accident
iii. Name & Phone Number of contact person at site
iv. Invoice Number & Date
v. LR / RR / IWB Number & Date



The surveyor shall contact the insured within 1 hour of receipt of intimation. Upon receipt of intimation the survey will be conducted within 6 working hours based on the location of the site from the nearest office



The surveyor also collects the following documents from the consignee immediately in order to expedite faster release of reports:
i. Invoice
ii. LR /RR /IWB Copy
iii. Packing list if any



It should take about 7 business days to release the cargo claim report to the insurers. The high value claims of damaged equipment are settled on the basis of actual repairs
